[subject] + [verb] + [object] + [verb] + 得 + [adjective]
[subject] + [object] + [verb] + 得 + [adjective]
[object] + [subject] + [verb] + 得 + [adjective]
得 and the comment after it – the degree complement from the 得 point – must come straight after the verb. When the verb has an object, the object can't sit between them, so it has to go somewhere else.
Say the verb with its object, then say the verb again with 得.
A separable verb – one made of a verb and its own object, like 唱歌 or 游泳 – works the same way: the second half is the object.
In speech the first verb usually goes, leaving the object in front of the second.
The object can also go to the very front of the sentence. This is how you set two objects against each other.
