[subject] + 的确 + [verb phrase]
[subject] + 的确 + [adjective]
的确,+ [clause]
的确 confirms a statement: it is true, and the speaker vouches for it. It goes after the subject, before the verb or adjective.
It often agrees with what someone else has said, or admits a point before going on.
It can also open the sentence with a comma, as a short "indeed".
的的确确 is the emphatic form.
The two are interchangeable as adverbs, and 确实 is the more common in speech. 确实 is also an adjective, "true, reliable"; 的确 is only an adverb.
