[result] + (可以 / 主要) + 归因于 + [cause]
把 / 将 + [result] + 归因于 + [cause]
归因于 links a result to its cause, "is attributed to", "is down to". The result comes first and the cause follows 于. It is written, at home in reports and analysis, and 可以 or 主要 often comes before it.
With 把, or 将 in more formal writing, the person doing the attributing becomes the subject.
归因于 is neutral. Two verbs of the same shape add a judgement: 归功于 gives the credit for a good result, 归咎于 lays the blame for a bad one.
于 belongs to the verb and can't be dropped, and the cause after it is a noun phrase, not a 因为 clause. Credit and blame don't swap.
