[verb] + 坏 + 了
[adjective / feeling] + 坏了
坏 after a verb is a result complement – a word after the verb that says how the action turned out. Here the result is that something got broken or damaged.
The verb says how it happened: 摔 dropped, 用 used, 吃 eaten (and made ill), 弄 handled. Negation uses 没 and drops 了.
With 把 the broken thing moves in front of the verb.
After an adjective or verb of feeling or bodily state, 坏了 marks a very high degree. It is spoken, and it always keeps its 了.
The usual words are 饿, 累, 渴, 急, 气, 吓, 高兴, 乐 and 忙. The sense is "worn down" or "overwhelmed", so 坏了 doesn't go with a quality of a thing.
死了 covers the same ground with more force.
As a whole sentence, 坏了 is "oh no".
