[clause],况且 + [subject] + (又 / 也 / 还) + [predicate]
况且 opens a clause that adds another reason in support of a point already made: "besides", "what's more". 也, 又 or 还 often follow it in the same clause. It's neutral to written, at home in an argument or an explanation.
The conclusion can come first, as in the first example, or last, after the reasons.
何况 also argues from a harder case to an easier one, "let alone": 大人都搬不动,何况孩子, "even adults can't lift it, let alone children". 况且 doesn't have that use; it only adds a reason.
The clause after 况且 has to push toward the same conclusion. To add a plain extra fact, use 而且 or 另外.
