有的 + [noun] + [verb phrase] + ,有的 + ([noun]) + [verb phrase]
[noun] + ,有的 + [verb phrase] + ,有的 + [verb phrase]
有的 means "some" of a group. Used twice, it splits the group: 有的…有的… is "some … others …".
After the first 有的 the noun can drop, as in the second example. A third group takes 还有的: 有的…有的…还有的….
When the group has already been named, it goes at the start as the topic, and 有的 picks out parts of it.
有的 + noun sits before the verb, in the subject or topic slot. It doesn't go in the object position after the verb, where English puts "some".
A single 有的 is fine too, and 有的时候 is a common way to say "sometimes".
