[noun] + 与 + [noun]
与 + [noun] + [verb]
与 joins two nouns ("and") or names who an action is done with ("with"). It does the work of 和 and 跟 in writing, titles and formal speech.
Titles of books, films, articles and courses use 与 almost by default, because 和 reads as conversational.
与 + person or group goes before the verb: 与…合作 "work with", 与…交流 "communicate with", 与…见面 "meet with". 与…有关 "be related to" and 与…无关 "have nothing to do with" are the commonest pair of all.
Comparisons with 与 (与…相比, 与…一样) have their own entry.
As "and", 与 joins nouns and noun phrases. It can't join two verbs, two adjectives or two clauses.
In a list of three or more, 与 goes before the last item only, with 、 between the others.
