によると / によれば

によると means "according to". It follows a noun for where you got the information – a person, the news, a forecast, a survey – and the sentence usually ends on a hearsay marker such as そうだ or らしい.

The ending marks the information as second-hand: そうだ for "I hear", らしい for "apparently", とのことだ or ということだ in more formal reporting.

によると or によれば

The two mean the same and swap freely. によれば sounds slightly more formal.

によると or によって

によって is "by" or "depending on", never "according to". The two look alike and learners mix them up.

• × 天気予報によって、明日は雨だそうです → 天気予報によると、明日は雨だそうです

によると reports what someone else said. For your own view, use わたくし私のかんがえ考えでは or とおもいます思います.
