さぞ

さぞかし is an emphatic form of さぞ with the same meaning but slightly stronger emphasis. It can be used interchangeably in most contexts.

• さぞ is used when the speaker is imagining another person's situation – it is not typically used about oneself.
• It carries a tone of deep empathy or sympathy, making it appropriate for consoling, congratulating, or showing understanding.
