[subject] + 呈 + 上升 / 下降 / 增长 + 趋势
[subject] + 呈 + 逐年 / 明显 / 持续 + 上升 / 下降 + 趋势
[subject] + 呈 + [shape] + 形 / 状
呈 + trend says which way a figure is moving. 呈 is the written one-syllable form of 呈现 "show", and its object ends in 趋势 "trend" or 态势 "pattern". It belongs to reports and papers that describe data.
A word of pace or manner can go before 上升 or 下降: 逐年 "year by year", 明显 "clearly", 缓慢 "slowly", 持续 "steadily".
态势 is more formal still and goes with 稳定, 良好 and 增长.
呈 also takes a shape with 形 or 状: 呈圆形 "is circular", 呈扇形 "is fan-shaped". This is the usage in descriptions of objects and places.
上升 and 下降 after 呈 need 趋势 or 态势 to finish the phrase, and 呈 takes no 了.
