からある / からする / からの

からある, からする and からの follow a number with its counter and stress that the amount is large: "fully", "no less than", "as much as". Each goes with a different kind of quantity. からある is for weight, length, height and distance, からする for price, and からの for a number of people or things.

All three need an actual figure, and the figure has to strike the speaker as big. They come before a noun more than anywhere else; からの only ever does.

Which one goes with which quantity

The verb matches the quantity. ある is how much something weighs or measures, as in ごれい50きろキロある. する is what something costs, as in ごまんえん5万円する.

• × 100万円からあるバッグ → 100万円からするバッグ
• × 1000人からある観客 → 1000人からの観客

からする or から

A price with plain から is a starting price, as on a menu or a hotel sign. からする says the price is high.

All three belong to writing and news. In conversation, も after the number does the same job: ごれい50きろキロもあるにもつ荷物, ひゃくまんえん100万円もするばっぐバッグ, せんにん1000人ものかんきゃく観客.
