～つもり is used to describe what someone intends or plans to do, or what they assume to be true.

Expressing Intentions or Plans: Indicates a strong intention or plan to perform an action in the future.
わたくし私はあす明日としょかん図書館にいく行くつもりです。
I plan to go to the library tomorrow.
Describing Assumptions: Expresses that someone believes or assumes they are in a particular state or have done something.
わたくし私はそれをしっている知っているつもりでした。
I thought I knew that.
Expressing "Supposed to Be" or "Acting As If": Conveys that someone behaves or assumes a role as if something is true.
かのじょ彼女はせんせい先生のつもりではなしています話しています。
She is talking as if she is a teacher.
