だの～だの

だの～だの lists a few examples out of many – "A, B and so on" – and nearly always complains about them. Each item takes だの: a noun or a な-adjective directly, a verb or an い-adjective in the plain form.

A noun or な-adjective takes no だ of its own, since だの already has it: ×学生だだの.

Quoting complaints

The items are often things someone keeps saying, quoted in the plain form. The speaker finds them tiresome or unreasonable, and the sentence goes on to say so.

だの, とか and やら

とか～とか lists examples neutrally and is the everyday choice. やら～やら lists things that pile up, often with a sense of confusion. だの～だの adds irritation. A neutral list with だの is possible but rare.

だの belongs to speech and informal writing.
