にかけては

にかけては means "when it comes to (a skill)", and it always leads into praise: in this one area, someone is the best. It follows a noun that names a skill, a field or a quality, and the second half says nobody beats them – いちばん一番だ, だれ誰にもまけない負けない, みぎにでる右に出るもの者はいない.

Said about yourself, it sounds confident, and with じしん自信がある it is an ordinary way to name your strong point.

Only for praise

Because にかけては sets up excellence, a weak point after it contradicts the pattern. For a neutral topic, use については or plain は.

• × 料理にかけては下手だ → 料理は下手だ

Without は, にかけて is a different grammar point: a span of time or space, "from… through…".
