is a slightly more **formal** variant of

is also formal but is more commonly heard in both spoken and written contexts.
- につれて: Also means "as X, Y" but tends to emphasize gradual, proportional change. に伴って can describe both gradual change and a single event triggering a consequence.
- とともに: Very similar in meaning ("along with"), but とともに can also mean "together with (someone)" in a non-causal sense, while に伴って always implies a cause-effect or correlational relationship.
