たて

たて means "freshly done": the thing has only just been made or done, and it's still in that fresh state. It goes on the ます-stem of a verb, and it takes の before a noun.

やく焼く gives やきたて焼きたて, たく炊く gives たきたて炊きたて, うまれる生まれる gives うまれたて生まれたて. Most of these are about food and drink, where fresh means at its best.

たて or たばかり

たて works with a small set of verbs that leave a fresh result: cooking, painting, washing, being born. たばかり goes with any verb and says only that little time has passed.

A person new to something

A few verbs about a change of status take たて for a person who has only just become something. Here the tone is neutral, and it often explains why they don't know things yet.
