Description

The grammar structure よりほかない expresses that there is no other choice or option but to do something. Nuance

よりほかない carries a strong sense of resignation – the speaker feels that the situation has left them with no alternatives. It is more literary and formal than similar expressions like 〜～しかない or 〜～ざるをえない得ない.

～しかない – The most common casual equivalent. Almost identical in meaning but more conversational.
