次第【しだい】

When attached to a noun, 次第 means "depending on" or "it's up to." It indicates that the outcome or result is determined by the noun it follows. Common patterns include しだい次第で (followed by a result) and しだい次第だ / しだい次第です (at the end of a sentence).

A very common expression is やりかた方しだい次第 ("depending on how you do it") or かんがえ考えかた方しだい次第 ("depending on how you think about it").
